January Wellness Champion – Pam Kaminsky

We’d like to recognize our Lemoine Wellness Champion of the Month for February – Pam Kaminsky!

For those of you who don’t know, Pam started working with Lemoine as a temp receptionist in 2017. She was officially hire by Lemoine in July 2017. Since then, she has transitioned into the Contracts Department and is currently our Contracts Administrator in the Lafayette office.

To stay healthy, Pam tries her best to move for at least 15-30 minutes every day. “Walking, cleaning, exercise, or skating with my students during their lesson. I also drink a lot of water, bringing a big cup with me wherever I go”.

When asking Pam what motivates her to stay active and healthy, she says it’s for her skating students. “If I am not active, then I cannot provide them with a quality program or less. Meaning, I can’t actually skate the routine that I created or teach them something that is physically demanding”.

Pam started teaching figure skating about 17 years ago. “About 4-5 years ago during a Power Skating Class (think HIIT on ice) that I was teaching, I was super fatigued and thought my legs were going to give out about halfway through me teaching it. My students thought it wasn’t that bad compared to some of the classes I used to teach. I knew then I had to step up my fitness and be able to keep up with my students and show them I can still out skate them.”

Pam’s says living healthy doesn’t have to be being on a strict diet and/or working out 7 days a week. It can be small things. Taking a walk on a nice day, choosing water instead of the pop you really want, or instead of standing on the side lines watching people participate in an activity, you join them. It doesn’t have to be an all or nothing. All the little things will make a difference in your life.

Awesome job, Pam! We are so proud of you! Keep striving to be a healthier version of yourself every day!
