February Wellness Champion – Cory Lemoine

We’d like to recognize our Lemoine Wellness Champion of the Month for February – Cory Lemoine!

For those of you who don’t know, Cory started working with Lemoine as an intern working on the Our Lady of Lourdes Campus Relocation Project. Since then, he has transitioned into a Healthcare Project Manager working on the following projects: Our Lady of Lourdes Cancer Center & Misc. Projects, Lafayette General Medical Center, LGMC – Burdin Riehl Pharmacy, Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s & Children’s Misc. Projects, and Ochsner Cancer Center. Cory just celebrated his 10 year anniversary with Lemoine!

To stay healthy, Cory works out or does some sort of cardio just about every day of the week.

When asking Cory what motivates him to stay active and healthy, he says “My pants do not have an elastic waist band. That’s a pretty good motivator to stay dedicated to my routine”.

Cory started this journey after breaking his ankle on a backpacking trip in Death Valley, California in August 2019. He was on crutches for 3 months. During that period, he had to pick up better eating habits to keep weight off. After fully recovering, he started going to the gym every day after work.

Cory’s advice about living a healthy lifestyle is “If you’re hanging on to a bad habit like smoking or dipping, pick a day to quit and stick to it.” Cory utilized Lemoine’s Nicotine Cessation Program to help him make some lifestyle changes.

Awesome job, Cory! We are so proud of you! Keep striving to be a healthier version of yourself every day!
