Contracted by Plains Exploration and Production Company, this project includes the addition of three (3) new pre-engineered metal buildings — Galley, Shop, and Office on a 6.10 acre site. The project serves as a sub station for the Eagle Ford natural gas reserve in South West Texas. The site was previously occupied with mobile trailers which housed employees of PXP.

Construction began with a 2′ undercut of the existing soil at the building pads and replacement by fill. A total of 38,596 sf of new 2″ and 4″ asphalt were paved on site. The galley structure totals 8,843 sf under roof and serves as a communal area for employees. The area houses a full service kitchen, showers and locker rooms for both men and women, and a recreation room with exercise equipment.

The shop total 5,081 sf under roof and has a second story mezzanine with a total of 797 sf of storage. The shop also houses parts and an office/repair room. Office space totals 12,649 sf under roof. The front is an EIFS façade with sides and back of metal panels. The office space contains 16 offices and two conference rooms. There is also a second story available for future expansion with a total of 3,071 sf.
