Construed by Lemoine, a ribbon cutting was held at Children’s Hospital New Orleans new Behavioral Health Center on January 22nd.
The 70,000-square-foot facility is one of the largest of its kind in the nation and the only psychiatric program in the Gulf Coast region dedicated to the mental health care of children and teenagers ages 7 to 17. The inpatient unit has been expanded from 39 beds to 51 in the building, which also houses outpatient programs.
The five-story building is part of a $300 million master facility plan expansion for Children’s Hospital that is one of the top construction projects in the New Orleans area.
